Enjoy a Better Web Experience

There’s a lot to do on the Web, and Firefox 2 is full of helpful features to make your time online more productive.

Improved Tabbed Browsing

We love tabs as much as you do, so Firefox 2 will open new web pages in tabs by default. Each of those tabs has its own close button, but don’t worry - if you accidentally close a tab, just go to the History menu to bring it back from the list of “Recently Closed Tabs.” You’ll never be crunched for space anymore, either. When you have too many tabs open to comfortably fit in a single window, scroll arrows will appear on either side, and a button on the right side will always show you an easy-to-read list of all your open tabs.

Spell Checking

Sometimes you’re in a rush, and can’t remember if it’s “i” before “e” or the other way around. Firefox 2 has built-in spell checking to keep you from making any mistakes in your blog posts and Web-based email, so you can worry about more important things.

Search Suggestions

Some of the search engines in Firefox 2 can read your mind, and actually suggest search terms for what you’re looking for. Just start typing into the Search bar, and a drop down list of suggestions will appear. (Works for Google, Yahoo! and Answers.com.)

And a lot. So Get it now.

Fantastic Four

Just got before from Night At the Museum, and saw the trailer.

WOW.

The theatre was only 60% full by time the Spider-Man 3 trailer passed and many latecomers were still spilling in when the FF2 clip--which came next--was shown. The vast majority of those present were teens, but there was a good mix of other adults, parents and some little children. The clip starts out with a shot of the Surfer zooming down into the earth's atmosphere. But it wasn't until the Marvel logo flashed across the screen, when a complete hush fell on the audience again.

From the moment we saw the wedding cake topper (with it's elongated 'Reed Richards' wrapping itself around its crystal bride) there was a stir in the audience. When the camera panned on the Four themselves that stir grew into subdued whispers; I heard several whisper "Fantastic Four", making it clear that folks definitely remember the actors and their roles even before the title card was shown.

Then it got quiet again. I wished I had never seen that Youtube.com clip.

The cinematography in this teaser was beautiful. Rich, vibrant colors and everyone looked good. The most improved? Without a doubt it's Benjamin. His suit has clearly been upgraded from that "burn unit look" from the first film, to a more traditional aesthetic--his hide has greater definition; his coloring is more of a tangerine orange--which looked great as a contrast against the "normal-looking" wedding guests at the ceremony.

The music? Perfect. Pulsating...urgent. Think along the lines of the aforementioned Spider-Man trailers. It melted seamlessly into the action sequences which arrested the attention of everyone in the joint. I loved the way the music melts down to a heart beat as Surfer morphs through a glass skyscraper. When he emerges, the construction materials around his exit ripple like water, and again the drowned music made that money shot even more poignant.

Speaking of Silver Surfer...um, yeah. Norrin Radd looks like an effing chrome demigod on screen--absolutely amazing. I seriously believe all of these people whining about his eyes (of all things ) will hush up when they see him in movement. The chase through the Holland tunnel was awesome, and the point when he turned upside down and coldly stared Johnny down showed he was totally in control--and unconcerned about Johnny's little "pursuit." In just seconds, his facial expression gave me the feeling that he viewed Torch as nothing more than a pesky insect to be swatted away condescendingly. And when he grabbed Johnny by the throat the guy next to me said "Whoa...sick!" And dude wasn't the only one blown away, because by time the Silver Surfer had dragged Johnny with him to the heavens, latecommers--who had yet to even find a seat--had also stopped in their tracks in the fricking aisles to watch. The sequence was simply that good.

To be frank with you, I'm finding hard to believe that Tim Story has created this. It just....feels different. For those of you who have been on this board since the beginning, you'll recall I was one of Tim's biggest supporters the first go 'round, but was somewhat dissillusioned with much of what was done (especially the editing job). And despite set reports, etc., up until today it's been hard for me to get my excitement up for this sequel. However, I'd be lying if I didn't tell you all that I'm officially impressed and stoked now.

The "sitcom" feel from FF1? Gone. In its place? A distinct epic flavor--at least in this trailer. The action sequences and the overall framing had a sense of style--it had flair. And the tone of the entire clip is definitely grimier...edgy even. And that's a good thing. With the exception of Johnny's "But I just got this tux" wisecrack, there is no cheesiness to be found here--something that even the first film's trailers couldn't hide. This one was serious...darker.

When it was over, there was a lot of buzzing amongst the audience and not a few "schweets" mixed in too. It was by far, the most well-received trailer save the aforementioned Spider-Man 3 clip.

The Bourne Movies, Identity /Supremacy

Great movie...apart from the camera shakes at the start which made me dizzy.
In fact i still am but i'm just masking the dizzyness

Good action scenes though the storyline aint that unique (frame up/revenge) but its they way that its made that makes it a nice action movie......even too nice that it makes James Bond look like a wimp...after all he (Bourne) does operate like a real spy (or ex spy).

That was...another whoa episode. The season finale has *got* to be absolutely amazing.

The person I'm most concerned is Ando...I think he'll die, I just wish it'd be later in another season and not on the finale. I dunno, I just feel so strongly about this guy, he keeps Hiro going on despite the odds. There's still more "strengthening" that Hiro's character needs, perhaps to be explored in the next season (Hiro=Takezo Kensei), and for that I think he should still have Ando by his side.

Even though he doesn't really break beyond the sidekick role, I feel Ando is nevertheless important, for story purposes and to draw audiences in. He's the only one I wouldn't want to see gone by season's end. Everybody else I'll let live or die by the natural flow of things.

-----

I'm really intrugued about the older Heroes: Mr. and Mrs. Petrelli, Linderman, Charles Deveaux, Kaito Nakamura...and *especially* hot Mama Petrelli. Whatever they did before is having a lot of impact on the present...I so cannot wait for Origins to start.

[Movie Review] Ghost Rider

I've seen it...and it was very good...

I was disappointed a bit with the final battle between Ghost Rider and Black Heart...there should have been more er display of power between the two...like Ghost Rider firing some intense Hellfire at Black heart and using his chains...also, I was really disapointed that Black Heart didnt assume his true form...I suppose theres not much you can do with 75 million...Mephisto also didnt show his true form, though that didnt really bother me...

its good points though, well Cage really fits the part and the visuals for when Blaze transforms into GR was sick(ina good way ofc), and damn when he went passed the speed of sound causing a sonic boom destroying shops and flipping and blowing cars, telephone poles that was wicked...so wicked...

so anyway, like I said, it was very good, but there is only so much you can do with 75 million, had they been given a bigger budget this film would have been an epic...still, its very worth it...so go watch it you crazy kat

Philippines, first territory in Asia, shatters all animation records

It proved a fairy-tale opening all around for DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek The Third over the weekend (ending May 20) as the $122m domestic launch was complimented by a raft of records across its four day-and-date international territories.

Released internationally by Paramount Pictures International the film took a combined $13.3m international start from Russia, Ukraine, Romania and the Philippines. Proving Shrek The Third, which follows the jolly green ogre on a quest to find the next king of Far Far Away, is set to reign supreme this summer the animated film opened #1 in all four territories felling records in its stride.

Russia led the weekend with an $11.1m launch that set new records not only as biggest animated opening of all time in the Eastern European major, but also as the highest non-Russian opening ever.
